I am so sorry that you are going through this. It brings back so many bad memories for me of all of the fertility treatments I went through- I understand all too well what you are feeling. Between IUIs and FETs, I had 9 procedures before I was finally successful with a pregnancy that lasted. Infertility is such a hard and lonely road to be on- just keep moving forward and tell yourself it will be ok, even if it feels like you are lying to yourself. Somehow it will be ok with time and you will find peace with wherever this road takes you. Know that you are not alone. Sending the best your way... blbnjf

Thank you for the response. It's so hard to feel so alone and like it will just never happen! Wow 9 times seems like such a long time. How did you keep your sanity? Today was actually a difficult day & finding your reply really helps. My friend came to visit at our job with her baby & everyone kept saying things like when are you going to have another & you're supper fertile now while breastfeeding & you want the kids close together. Of course none of them know what I'm going through but it's hurtful to know others can just have a baby on the first try without a second thought!

I honestly have no idea how I kept sane- I'm not sure that I was entirely sane throughout the process. I do know that it did finally help once I was honest with the people in my life about my infertility struggle. In total, it was just about 3 years between first seeing a dr and a successful pregnancy, and I didn't tell anyone for the first half of those 3 years, but after I did, there was definitely a sense of relief. DS was a great help too bc it made me feel not so alone and not like I was crazy. IF made me feel like an awful person bc I was so angry and jealous of those who had kids already. I found some pretty wonderful people on this site who assured me that my feelings were normal and that they didn't make me a horrible person. I just had to remind myself to take it day by day, and eventually I was fortunate enough that everything I did paid off. Sometimes you just gotta roll with it and hope for the best....

I am very glad I have joined this support group. It really helps to know that I'm not alone in all of this. Those that are close to me know what we have been going through. Sometimes it's tough to talk to any of them because none of them have been through any of this. I also find myself jealous and upset when anyone around me gets pregnant. I want to be happy for them but it is so difficult. I have had so many friends, family, & co-workers recently that are either pregnant or just had a baby & it doesn't get any easier! I am really trying to stay positive and hopeful that it will be my time sometime soon.

I just had my first IVF failure and the doctors said your embryos are great and probably implantation could be an issue .Iam just so scared of going through another one before which I have been asked to do endometrium scratching . Iam so emotionally drained , how did you guys cope up with stress before the next round ?

Hi Jash. It's so difficult when you get a negative result. We just finished our 5th round of IVF without success. We did finally get a positive on the 5th try which turned into a chemical pregnancy. Coping with the stress is hard & I think it's different for everyone. I try to go to the gym to try to reduce the stress but nothing can prepare you for this rollercoaster of a journey!
