I think our stories are fairly similar. I came off birth control in May 2016 and after months of my period getting more irregular rather than more regular (which was very strange since I had always been regular before birth control), I was diagnosed with PCOS. I've been seeing an RE since February 2017, have done 4 clomid + HCG cycles with IUI, and last month did Femara/Letrozole + HGC with IUI. No success yet...I'm on my last IUI cycle this month (which will be Femara + HCG). I'm told that success rates after 6 IUIs level off, so there's not much of a point in doing more than that, which means IVF will be the next step. I hope this month works for you and would be happy to connect to commiserate :-| Sending positive thoughts and prayers.
I also have PCOS (although some new Dr just told me this week "i don't think you have it"). Gotta love 100 different opinions.. anyway, i was on metformin and letrozol and had 2 rounds of IUI .. we're thisclose to deciding to do IVF which is something i always said i would never do... anyway, i don't have a lot of supportive things to say right now, but i am sending you good thoughts and strength to get thru this. xoxo
