Feeling a Little Sad

Hello Everyone! 


I am new to this thread And First off thank you all for sharing your personal stories and emotions! My husband and I have been married for 2 years and 3 months. We’ve been trying to conceive to get pregnant, but it’s not happening. We began seeing doctors and found out I had fibroids which weee removed and before we start the IVF process I need another surgery to take care of another issue. Anyway, I don’t know if anyone else ever felt like you are failing your husband/significant other, because I do. I do a good job not showing emotion on the outside but inside I’m very sad and scared and feel that I’ll never get pregnant. I’m crying on the inside but look fine on the outside.

You have literally took the words right out of my mouth that is exactly how I feel. I too play it off so well when I feel like I am being crushed on the inside. But then we have to realize how grateful we are that we’re the lucky bunch that have supportive husbands that stand by us when we go to our doctor appointments, try new tests and undergo treamtent. That right there is the motivation we need to get thru this. Praying for a safe surgery, and a successful IVF treatment.

Thank you so much!! Wishing you all the best in your journey. You’re absolutely correct and I’m beyond grateful to have a great husband who is in my corner, and I always say things can always be much worse. I guess sometimes I just feel like I’m losing control and hope and I get sad

Hi dear! I think I know what you are talking about. I'm 32, married, we don't have kids. I'm the reason we are still childless. I don't have a uterus. So we are thinking about surrogacy. The reason why I turn to this option kind of late is that my first husband didn't want to have children. I've been always wanted to become a mother. But I thought as I have no uterus this's my destiny to be childless. When I was 24 it turned out that my ex-husband had a mistress who got pregnant and he left me to be with her and his child. I spent 3 years in depression. I didn't want any relationships. When my ex-husband left me he told me lots of terrible stuff which made me feel that no one will ever want me as a wife because I'm infertile. I moved to my parents’ house. I was sitting home 24/7 feeling sorry for myself. My parents were trying so hard to help me. I was thinking what the point of my life and I couldn't find it. I'm glad that period of my life is over. Now I'm a completely different person. When I was 27 I met my dear husband who made me to forget about that horrible experience. Both of us want to have children. We're thinking about surrogacy. We hope to start our journey soon. But sometimes I feel guilty. As if I'm not letting him be a father. I'm trying to be positive and don't bother him with my emotional breakdowns. I know he loves me but after my first marriage this is so hard not to think that he maybe want to leave me because I can't give him children. I try not to think too much, because my thoughts sometimes make me feel even more stressed then I am because of my infertility.
