Hi there,
I'm new to this group and just had my first failed IUI cycle. I have unexplained infertility and am really struggling with the mystery of it all. I also thought I was managing my expectations really well but when I got that BFNT I really felt like a ton of bricks fell on me. My DH and I have been trying for 6 years and I've only had one IUI cycle and I'm already exhausted, feel wrung out, and have gained 5 lbs from the drugs. How do you guys get through all this? I'm really struggling. Plus I can't even fathom affording IVF if IUI doesn't work out at this point. I don't know what to do...
I am new to this group and I just read your post. My husband and I did three rounds of IUI and they all failed. It was so heartbreaking and frustrating too because we felt like it was a waste of money and time. We took about a 5 month break after and just took time to figure out our next steps. Now we are in the beginning stages of IVF and it’s been a little better. The biggest help has been my husband expressing his sadness… it makes me feel like we really are in this together. Also I just keep reminding myself this is a small sliver in a bigger picture. Hopefully ten years down the road we will be past this!
