Oh god, I hate Facebook! Everyone is either flippin' pregnant, posting cute baby pics, or complaining about their kids/being pregnant. I just got my period this morning and I'm not even signing on. It's always the worst days, that I see the most posts. There should be a law about how many pregnant/baby pics people are allowed to share. If they go over the quota... infertiles get to punch them in the face.

Sorry you have to see the same swollen belly over and over. Maybe when she has the baby she will be too tired to post for a while? Wouldn't that be great?

You should remove her from your news feed. That is what I did with everyone who was pregnant. If you go to their page and click on where it says friends, there is a drop down box. You just uncheck news feed. You can still go to her page and are still friends, but you won't have to be reminded all the time.

agreed. I have hidden several people since my MC, as I just cannot stand to see pics of their kids in pumpkin patches, etc, etc, etc. you can always go to her page directly if you feel up to it. this is YOUR FB page, don't let it destroy you!

And that is why I deleted FB for now :). I might be out of the loop on some things that happen, but I am so much more calmer and happier not to see pregnancy announcements !!

I cannot wait until I can de-activate my FB for this very reason. I am planning my mom's suprise 50th bday dinner at the moment though and reaching out to most people via FB for the invite. Her bday cant come soon enough :-)

I have to admit that i've hidden every single preggo person on FB, and then dont unhide them after they have the kid. It's so much more peaceful :-)

I totally get this. It is incredibly hard to see these people all over Facebook so blissfully unaware that status updates of their whining and complaining about the greatest gift in the world or the simple act of posting about it will drive others crazy.
I have done like the other ladies and "hid" some people but it is still hard.
Maybe taking a break from FB would be helpful? I find myself taking week long breaks when it gets to be too much.

The best thing I did was take my facebook page down! It has helped my out look so much i would always start the day with it and it would just start my day off all wrong! So now i treat this like my "facebook" lol

hehe @ mrsfrog i'm on here more than fb now too! it's not AS active as facebook, so I find myself checking it very often and being like "ugh! I need something new to read now!" lol

I too had to hide people on FB. The week that we MC'd four friends announced their pregnancies (all with due dates around ours.) I stopped going on for awhile and then found myself obsessing over it and finally just blocked people. It is a much happier news feed now..haha!

DS is much better anyway, everyone can understand each other and you don't feel like you have to "hide" your daily struggles from anyone.

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. I agree with all the other ladies, for your own sanity it's best just to hide or delete them. Fb can be a dangerous place for us women struggling with If...

Me too, since struggling with infertility I never check facebook...if I do, it is just pregnancy announcements or people posting their babies every move..great for them but I would much rather be on this site instead!

I have done the same and removed the preggo friends from my newsfeed. However, I always have a crappy day when yet another friend (Im 34 so its non stop) announces they are have "another bun in the oven" Kills my whole day.

If I didn't have to be on FB for work then I would totally delete my account. I see FB as nothing but bragbook.
Found out recently that two of my friends are on child #3 since I've been ttc. Not sure why I decided to take a social media job...oh wait...because it was the best job I could find to try to save for IVF! No joke.
