The frustration of AF getting here every month is ovewhelming and extremely discouraging when tying to fulfill the one and only wish one has had for a very long time.. The deal is that I am 30.. I have a wonderful step son but I've always wanted a little girl, the one who's my flesh and blood.. My husband and I have had the talk and we're on the same page, minus one little aggravating detail: negative pregnancy test, month after month.. Mom says it's okay and not my time yet.. My gyno says there's nothing to worry about for another 2-3 years or so.. The anxiety after reading articles on "Why some women are unable to conceive" sets in big time and I find myself comparing ME to other women.. What am I doing wrong? Why can't I get pregnant? And it eats me up seeing drug-users, unhealthy females with ridiculously unhealthy lifestyles pop babies out like it's nothing, and here I am watching my vitamins, diet, excersize, sleep, having regular cycles (like clock work every month!), blah blah blah and STILL NOTHING.. Sitting here and thinking to myself "God does not think it's the right time for me" or better yet "I guess I don't deserve to be a mother".. Depression hits, and it hits hard. I even tried to come to peace with myself and with the thought of being a mother-figure to my step son (7yo) and my dog.. But I find it hard not to think of wanting to get pregnant when social media is flooded with my friends' baby pics and ultrasounds. No one to talk to about it either..
I just can't help but want to reach out to you. I understand your dream...it's the only one you ever thought of and it's all you want to be a mother to your own child. I know that feeling. My husband and I went 8 years with infertility issues. Granted I knew I had problems and later we found out he did too...it still was heart breaking every month for 8 years.
I was 29 when I finally got pregnant and had my son and I am currently pregnant (NATURALLY). My point is please don't give up hope, I never dreamed it would happen naturally after the infertility issues. I know what it is like to see it all over facebook, see those crappy moms yelling at those sweet angels in the store. It's so hard!
Take a breath, maybe look into seeing a infertility specialist if you've been trying for over a year. It can't hurt to have blood drawn and see if anything is wrong. Some insurances pay for blood work. Sometimes you have to be your own advocate.
