Experience with Frozen Transfer?

Hi All,

I just got done with my ER and now will wait two months to transfer them in. What's the process? How many appointments/tests? Will I need to miss any work?

FET is much less strenuous than the IVF process. Depending on your clinic, you may have to miss work for the transfer. My clinic had me on bedrest for 3 days. Some clinics do not require bed rest at all. I think I only had 1 appontment the week before the transfer so they could check my lining. Other than that, I just took estrogen and progesterone at home.

It was way less stressful. I also had to wait 2 months for the transfer after my retrieval.

It is much easier then a fresh cycle! I found the fresh completely overwhelming and consuming....

I'm currently cycling for my first FET. My transfer should be this coming Monday, Feb 25th. It's been a breeze- in fact, I forgot most of the time that I was working towards a baby this month. I've had a baseline u/s on Day 3, another u/s and bloodwork a week later, and I have another appointment today, so about 1 appointment each week. I was given Estradiol tablets to take orally to help build my lining and will start PIO injections tonight in preparation for the transfer. It really has been a breeze!

I'm doing a fet this month too. I went in cd2 and started 2mgof estrace 2x a day. I went in today, cd12 to check my lining and all is good so I will start pio tomorrow and then do the transfer Wednesday. Good luck!!!
