Emotionally drained

I have been struggling with infertility for about 2.5 years and recently started seeing a therapist because it has left me feeling quite depressed. She suggested I join a support group with others in a similar position because I'm feeling very alone. Sister in laws, best friend, and multiple co-workers have had babies in the past year or are having babies any day and it is a constant reminder that I don't. I'm hoping this group will help me realize how many others out there are struggling.

Hi there. My husband and I have been trying for 3 years, so I totally understand. I just had some major complications to fertility treatment and have to stop trying for a bit. I am crushed. I promise you, you are not alone. If you ever need a friend, please reach out. I know how tough it is when no one understands.

You are not alone. Been trying to conceive for 3 years but with no luck. Always a rollercoaster of emotions. I just cry it out from time to time. Then i take a walk in the park, where there's a
Church, and then talk to God. Then I exercise (which gives me happy hormones) and try to move on again with my life. And then repeat again next month when Aunt Flow comes.

You are definitely not alone! I am at 3.5 years and have no one in my life I can talk to about it. All of my close friends and family are all fertile and seemingly happy while I'm over here scrolling as fast as I can past their facebook posts. I feel so bad not wanting to look at others happiness but it hurts. It feels so bitchy to allow these feelings and I could never admit that to anyone in person, but it does feel good to let it out on this platform.

I just came home from work, shut all of my windows so i dont have to hear anyone's children playing outside, and cried into a pillow after today's phone call with my fertility doctor. My s.o. hasn't spoken to me in three days except to tell me he's mad at me for not helping him with his resume (he's almost 50) and my resentment towards him and the world is so great I think I might quit my job and drive an RV around the country or buy a one way ticket to southeast Asia. I regret on a daily basis every decision I have made in my life that has gotten me to middle age, childless, and having to behave civilly when all I want to do is throw a tantrum and be self indulgent. Depressed doesn't even begin to cover it! Welcome!
