Infertility Support Group
In vitro fertilization is one of the most common and utilized ways of treating conception problems. This support group is dedicated to those beginning their journey with IVF and needing support. Join the community and share your experiences, advice, and story with people going through similar challenges starting a family.
I just asked one of our doctors at Laurel Fertility Care your questions. Here are some tips Dr. Kao (http://www.laurelfertility.com/about-us/lee-c-kao-md) wanted me to share with you:
"1. Keep open communication. I would advise to have an open channel of discussion with her physician/nurse coordinator, and make sure all medical facts are conveyed.
2. Don't fear asking anything and everything! The most important thing is to never have fear in asking a question. It's always best to ask, especially if you're unclear with your doctors directions or decisions. This is you care and your fertility health.
3. Be aware of different styles. Just as a precursor, different physicians have his/her own restrictions during the IVF treatment. Some are based on medical fact, some are based on general scientific belief, and some are based on practicality, yet some based on one's personal preference.
4. Find ways to reduce stress. Stress reduction is very important as study indicated that stress impedes life quality and stress reduction increase on fertility treatment success. At our clinic, we offer a Mind Body Wellness program that includes acupuncture, fertility yoga, and therapy. Check and see if your clinic has something similar.
5. Trust your doctor. If you are unable to believe in your doctor's work, you may not be with the right doctor. Having confidence and trust in your doctor makes your IVF cycle run much more smoothly."

What I'm trying to say is there can be extreme highs and lows in a flash.
Find things that help you to relax (meditation, restorative yoga, breathing exercises).
Know that you have a whole slew of women (and men) on this site that will be there for you to help you through the whole thing.
I'm starting IVF #3 this week so know all about the IVFs....
Best wishes to you on your journey!! :)
