Hi all,
As expected the realization of all we have been working toward with IVF and the possibility that it may not work is starting to hit home...
I am starting to get terribly anxious on the 2WW... to make it worse everyone around me is talking like it is an absolute fact that I am pregnant and I can't help getting caught up in it and then feeling like I am fooling myself after everyone is gone and I am all by myself with my thoughts.
I buckled yesterday and did a HPT WAYYYY too early (only 2 days after transfer) but I thought well if its positive then I can just enjoy the rest of the two weeks, as expected it was negative and its made me feel like it is a 'sign' (I know its stupid, but can't help it)
I have coped with 3 years worth of the 2WW, but I was never sure that I had a tiny little blast in my tummy to worry about, it was always, well maybe we got it right this month, but never, well it is certainly there, now all it has to do is stick!
grrr I hate how this messes with your head! any ideas on how to cope with all this???

I had to be strong, I banned pee sticks from the house.
I didn't drive anywhere near a pharmacy either..just incase I was weak.
Then I had a little 2WW mantra..."There's nothing I can do, but being happy will help".
I also didn't count the days, look at a calendar or think about how many days left til the Beta.
Then a couple of days before the Beta I got some light spotting....
....freaked the hell out of me, only to find out that 50% of women who do IVF successfully get this "implantation bleeding".
So we ended up doing an HPT the night before we went for the Beta, simply because I wanted DH to be with me when we found out.
So I took the pee stick into the loo, taped a little surgical tape over the digital result window, peed on it.
Had dinner and did the progesterone shot, then got DH to take the tape off and read it for me.
It said "Pregnant".
That was worth waiting for, and not counting the days certainly helped the time fly.
