I've been trying to conceive for 15 years. Until this past October I had regular periods. This past October I skipped a period which wasn't like me so I went to my OBGYN and had an ultrasound done. About a week after the ultrasound my OBGYN called to tell me I had a cyst on each of my ovaries. They are both big enough to be of concern. I was just wondering who has had cysts and your outcomes.
I'm hoping that the medicine I was put on either made them small enough to not be of concern or if I do have to have surgery what it's like as far as recovery. If you guys don't mind sharing the sizes of the cysts you guys had too so I can kind of compare. I want to think she said mine were 3 cm and 4 1/2 cm, but can't remember exactly because I was in such shock.

I had cysct on my ovaries which were about those same numbers and my doctor had me take birth control pills and by the next cycle they were gone. She did says if the cyst were a 5 or higher they usually look at surgery as an option. They try the birth control first.
