i just about had a heart attack today when i found out the cost of my prescriptions was going to be 1,011.00. thank goodness my dh has flex and benifits to help cover this otherwise we would never be able to afford this.

Isn't it crazy...for one cycle my meds cost about $1300...no insurance coverage! On top of mine I have to pay for my donor's meds too...about $1000! It sucks...but just think about the outcome! I wish you the best of luck with it all!

Thank God my insurance covers 80% of the med cost. My drugs for one IVF cycle were over 2000$.

I got over the shock of the cost a while ago but I don't think I'll ever get over coming out of the pharmacy with a shopping bag full of syringes, haz mat bin etc...

My meds for IVF were 3500 each time and not one cent was covered by insurance. It is so unfair.

my cycle, and i am not on IVF, we do IUI, my drugs were a $785 copay.

My IVF drug total cost was $7500 and we had to pay around $1200 that insurance didn't pay.

I know...my last cycle was over $1500. The woman on the tele pharamacy was like "okay, your co-pay is one thousand, five hundred forty nine dollars." I say, honey, that isn't a copayment it is a mortgage payment! It is amazing.

My meds for this next cycle is costing $2800 plus I have some left over from last cycle which I am suppose to use too. The meds I had left cost around $700. So total for this next cycle is $3500 plus my RE is giving me one cartridge of follistim.

My DH & I are very fortunate, all our meds are covered by insurance.

But I think it is a friggin crime to charge an arm and a leg for these meds. It makes me sick to think that our IF meds are thousands out of our pockets and repeat drug addicts in rehab with no intention of EVER quitting dont have to pay a dime for Methadone (synthetic heroin). It is totally unfair. Also, the insurance companies are to blame for this. They should all be responsible for covering SOME of these medications. I could go on and on.

Well, I need the MAX of Gonal F and that ALONE is $5000 plus my Lupron, etc. A total of $5200!!! On top of the procedure of $6700!!! NO insurance, NOTHING!!!!!

Our meds for this IVF cycle will be around $3,000. Insurance won't pay any of it at all! The pharmacy tried to push it through, but then I just got 6 separate denial letters in the mail today. One for each med. Talk about a waste of postage. How about they spend that money paying for my meds instead?!
