Clomid/Ovidrel treatments

My husband and I have recently started fertility treatments doing 5 days of Clomid beginning the 3rd day if my cycle and then around the 12th day I inject myself with ovidrel. We were only able to have intercourse around the 20 hour post injection point and no more due to our schedules. Does anyone know if that is potentially enough to become pregnant? I have read so many conflicting answers to this so I am looking for opinions or even experiences from others. Please and thank you!

Hello! Good luck on your cycle! Although it would have been great if you had sex maybe one more 2 more times, what you did is potentially enough for a positive. Ovidrel will force you to release eggs from 24-36 hrs after so you may have been in the perfect window. But, ask your doc if that was alright. I remember back when I did IUI, my doc had us have intercourse every other day from day 10 - 15, with an ovidrel shot on day 14. It didn't work for me, maybe because I am almost out of eggs, plus have very bad quality, so we've been doing IVF instead.

I've only done IUI's. I was told not to have intercourse 2-3 days leading up to the procedures (Ovidrel shot is taken, then the next two days right after that are when they would do IUI's). So I would suggest not having intercourse the two days leading up to the shot but make sure to have intercourse the two days following the shot.
At the end of the day, all it takes is one sperm to get pregnant so you never know! Best of luck to you - I hope everything works out : )

It worked! I am 4 weeks pregnant so apparently even though it was 20 hrs after only it was enough to work :) thanks everyone for the encouraging comments
