Clomid and Dexamethazone

Hi everyone,

I am currently on Clomid 150mg and Dexamethazone...I'm hoping to do an IUI this month, as last month the Letrezole didn't work well for me. I pray that the Clomid does, because I practically forced the Dr. to use Clomid. It worked well back a few years ago (even though I didn't get pregnant, there were lots of eggs). I've never taken Dexamethazone with it before...has anyone else? Just trying to get insight on Dex. Thank you and best wishes and baby dust to all!!! :)

I was on Dex for about 3 months prior to my last IVF. I had no side effects from it that I can tell other than maybe a little weight gain. I did break out like a teenager, but my RE said that was from the DHEA I was also on. If you have any autoimmune issues Dex is fantastic. I have psoriasis which is an autoimmune skin issue and for the first time in my life since I was diagnosed at 10 was I 100% clear. Granted less then 2 weeks after stopping Dex, it all came back. But it was a lovely 3 months.

So you should not see many side effects from the Dex. Clomid on the other hand, I had every side effect in the book, LOL.

Thank you. Yeah I haven't had too many side effects...yet! :) I did notice I wanted to cry at a commercial for no reason at all...kinda crazy. But So far so good. Thanks for sharing!! :)

I had baddddd side effects from Dex, but that didn't stop me from taking it. I had horrible hot flashes that would last all day and bad insomnia. I would wake up at 3 am, and be wide wide awake!
Hopefully you don't get bad side effects. What is your dosage of dex?
Mine was 7 mg (2 pills a day).

I'm sorry you had those side effects, so far so good for me. I'm on .5mg which seems to be working good. I'm just praying so much that my follicles start working good...last time they didn't :( Thank you and Good luck ladies and gents! :)
