So I've posted once before. I have a plethora of diagnoses keeping me from having baby. My husbands sister in law just announced her pregnancy. And it devastated me for a couple days I'm starting to come up for the rubble that is infertility. But now I have this thought that maybe silly. This will be the first grand child for my inlaws.. my husband and I are the older couple therefor one would assume the first to get pregnant, well I'm finding the world works in cruel ways.. I can't help thinking that their child will be favored. Isn't the first grandchild always favored? Wether grandparents mean to or not. I know for my grandparents I noticed a slight difference in the first and the first great grand. And in my husbands family he was the first grandchild and he for sure was favored. It's like they hold more sentimental value. I'm not a grandparent so I don't know. Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me? Gosh it'll hurt to see my in laws so happy over a child that is not mine, my womb and heart aches. I'm hopeful that my husband aNFL I will have a child one day, but it stinks to watch people get theres before mine. Is this human nature to feel this way? Or am I being silly? Please help!
Theres a lot of pressure on me to give my parents grandchildren, and i deal with a lot of guilt that i haven't given them one yet. All of their friends are grandparents, they want to be too! I've been told that i'm doing everything i can at this point to make that happen, so i shouldn't feel guilty. That's nice that i shouldn't, i still do. Just like the pang when i hear someone else is expecting, or this one had a baby. I wish i had magic words to tell you things that would make you feel better, but all i can say is don't feel silly. This is how you are dealing with it, and just know that you are not alone. There are lots of us on here that feel the same, if not similar.
