I want to share this with you ladies, but keep in mind, I realize could be a sensitive subject. I just wanted to pass this on knowing that we all probably know pregnant women if not ourselves. Much love and baby dust to all.
I am bothered today by something I rarely talk about on here. Yet again, one of my beloved friends had a beautiful baby, once again delivered by cesaerean section. These are young, healthy women, with healthy pregnancies, and healthy infants, forced to deal with surgery and huge recovery for various reasons EXCEPT whats best for mom and baby. This most recent girlfriend of mine is being treated for an infection at the incision line which is VERY difficult to treat. (We work in nursing settings and are colonized for a variety of fun germs.) I am sick about the lack of education about childbirth and choices women have. Most think they have to do exactly what the doctor says. The Business of Being Born is such a great wealth of information. Although it might be a little too "hands-off" for some, it makes some really eye-opening points about maternity in the US. Women need to fight back and fight for what they really want for their baby. We are on no one else's schedule during our birthing process but our own. Especially for those strong women who deal with IF, to wait so much longer than 9 months to get to the delivery room, birth can be such a beautiful, empowering, unforgettable experience. Don't cheat yourself--our bodies are DESIGNED to birth babies.

and i wonder,. if i am lucky enoough to get preg. with my 4 frozen embies, will i have to have a section because i had one with my twins/??
About that movie - my LC and Lamaze Teacher went to a whole seminar on it.
I think you need to be your own advocate throughout your pregnancy and labor and delivery. But you have to TRUST your OB that he/she has YOU and YOUR baby's best interest in mind.
I went through 22 hours of labor, and my dr. would come in, check me and say 'ugh..you're only 3 cm (this is after 18 hours)..and said..'let's just wait some more..i don't want you to have to have a c-section
then he came in 3 hours later and said 'AH! you're only 4 cm..let's keep waiting...'
then the next hour..i got 102.5 fever..my baby got a fever..and i had to go in. But never for a moment did I feel forced or coerced in any way..and in the end, it was still a beautiful experience because it was MY labor and that's what matters. turned out my baby was almost 10lbs and just wouldn't drop. and after a month..your birth is probably the last thing you're thinking about now that you have your baby in your arms! atleast that's my opinion :)
