im 34, my husband is 37 I have been off of birth control for 5 1/2 years and trying to conceive. It took a year for me to cycle normally, but now I'm perfectly healthy. I have had every test done you can have and I'm healthy. My husband's sperm is healthy with normal count. I have been on Clomid for 6 months, progesterone levels were good, but no pregnancies. We met with fertility dr and really told are best option is in vitro. Im already depressed enough everyday I'm scared if in vitro doesn't work I won't ever stop grieving over not being able to carry a child. What should I do, my husband wants to try it, but I know he will accept the outcome better than I will? Please help me.

I was in the exact same boat at age 33. We had been off birth control and actively trying for 2 years. We saw the doctor and had every test done. Both perfectly healthy with great numbers. Dx: Unexplained Infertility. We did months of medication with timed intercourse. Nothing. 3 IUIs. Nothing. We finally bit the bullet and went for IVF. I got pregnant on my first try, first cycle and now have a beautiful daughter. Since she was born I have had 2 miscarriages and I am back at it with the IVF trying to have another. Its not fair. It sucks. But you have options. I wouldn't let any more time pass by. I'd go for the IVF. If I were to walk these shoes over again, I wouldn't have wasted any time or money on IUIs. I would go directly to IVF. Best of luck <3

I understand your hesitancy in wanting to start IVF. It is not an easy decision to make...I'm in the process of trying to get excited for it. My husband also is pushing for it...the reason I am deciding to pursue it happened when he said,"If we don't try it, then we will never know if it will work for us." He's right. Obviously clomid, ovulation kits,timed intercouse and IUIs have NOT been working for us. I would also agree with Mrsmooney826, waiting until you're another year older to pursue IVF is probably easy to think about, but I'm 40 and odds do not improve as you get older (as you already know).
It's a big decision, and it has been successful for some people. You could be a success story too! My heart goes out to you.❤️
None of us envisioned ourselves going through this process, but here we are. You have our support as you make your decisions!

I am sorry to know your story, Indeed, IVF does not always work out, but if you want to increase your chances of getting pregnant, you might combine your treatment with PGS NGS 360. Good luck
