Sending lot of baby dust your way!!!!
I am so so sorry you had the D & C though. For me, it was much more physically painful then I thought it would be. It took a good 3 weeks after the D & C to stop bleeding completely. It was horrible. So I wish you the best and hope your body heals...take care of yourself, it is a huge emotional and physical toll on the body...
Sending you hugs a plenty of warm knowing.
I've been pregnant again straight after miscarriage, the conceptions were both natural.
The first pregnancy ended at 6 weeks, and then the following one ended at about 9 or 10 weeks.
Then I needed a break, I waited 3 months, and then we had to try for 3 months, and hey-presto I was pregnant again.
That was our third pregnancy, and it ended at about 8weeks.
(To be honest I've stopped memorising the weeks and the dates, it only hurts more for me to keep close track of it all).
Then we started our IF journey.
First port of call, IVF with PGD(FISH).
Success with two embryos, which then miscarried at 5 weeks.
I was told to wait til after I miscarried and get another period to start again, which is what we did.
The second IVF cycle was cancelled as none of the embryos were viable for survival.
So, I got the heaviest period I've ever had, and straight into cycle #3.
Okay, so if you've read that far, you know I'm a bit nuts.
I'm able to do all this because I have had a lot of hard knocks in life and have a good strong resolve about the tougher days ahead.
I also have the luxury of not working, I'm a stay at home pet parent to one cat.
So I get to spend almost all of my time and almost all of my energy on being just about okay enough to carry on.
We're fighting a loosing battle against the clock of menopause.
If we had the luxury of time, then perhaps things would have an extra month here and there between them.
I often wish I could stop and breathe inbetween.
Well, I don't know how much that helps you answer your own questions, only you know what's right for you.
It is okay to stop, it is okay to wait and it is okay to carry on full speed ahead.
My RE at Yale said that there is no benifit in waiting as far as embryo or egg quality.
This could be different if you're on different drugs, I don't know.
My RE's main concern about the timing is my own mental and emotional health.
The second round of IVF was frightening, that fear of another miscarriage however was at last relieved a little as we do PGD to test all of the chromosomes.
However, I know that no matter how or when I become pregnant miscarriage will not be far from my mind.
And I know that I will never have that innocent, delight in reading a pee stick.
It will be a phonecall with good news, and a dark cloud of fear and anticipation over it.
But you know what, that's something I can totally deal with.
This is the very worst thing I've been through in life, but I'm going to try and use all my strengths in my personality to get through it in one piece.
For me having the safety net of being able to say "It's time to Stop" is what makes it possible to forge on.
