Hello everyone!
I am still going back and forth about going through a second round of IVF at my age (43) and with such a financial sacrifice!! Just wondering if anyone out there had a baby naturally at this age?? I would really appreciate knowing as I try to think positive and believe that God will bless me if he chooses. Please let me know if anyone is out there that has had a baby at my age - the old fashioned way:)

Here is my story, for what it's worth. I got married at age 38 and started ttc right away, it took 5 years, 2 IUI's, 4 IVF's w/ my own eggs and finally 1 donor egg IVF for me to finally become pregnant at age 43. I delivered at age 44 and breastfed (pumped) 'till my daughter was 9 months old, by the time she turned a year, I was pregnant naturally at age 45! I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks, which is quite common for someone age 45, but I feel like the fact I had a natural pregnancy at all at that age given my history of infertility was a miracle! It can happen, I do have two friends who struggled with infertility and were able to conceive on their own but they were both age 40. Good luck to you!

I am almost 41 and we are going through treatments. However, it DID happen naturally to a good friend of mine - at 43! She ended up with a happy healthy daughter. So yes, it definitely is possible. Good luck!!!!

I know two people - a best friend and a cousin, that had their first and second respectively at around that age. They both conceived naturally, but neither one had any infertility problems.

After a myomectomy at age 39 and 3 miscarriages before I turned 41, I successfully gave birth to my first child at age 42 with no fertility treatments required. He was delivered by Cesarean section, and I also had a hysterectomy the same day. It was a tough couple of years to get through but worth every minute. That darling baby boy is now 23 yrs. old and a wonderful young man. :-)

I have a very good friend that just gave birth to her third child at the age of 42, without fertility treatment. It can happen!

Let me add.......my daughter is in her early 30's (technically my stepdaughter) and has been trying for a baby for 3 years. She is currently going through IVF treatments. My point in telling this is that PMCCLURE should understand infertility problems can happen at any age. Unfortunately, all the success stories we may tell you about really has no bearing on what you should do. Follow your heart and your doctor's suggestions. Good luck!

There is a woman in my prenatal yoga class who is 43 that "accidently" got pregnant. She wasn't even planning to be a Mom and it happened. She looks great and feeling good!

I went to a party last night and met a woman who had an amazing story. TTC for 10 years, IUI, IVF the works. They adopted two children who are now 8 and 10. She is 42 and got pregnant they got pregnant naturally at 41 just had a beautiful baby boy! It CAN happen!!!!

A friend of mine just told me her sister in law is prego at 43! yes!
