I'm so sorry that you're going through this. This is a very tough and emotional journey. I have not been down the IVF route yet so I can't help you with that. This is a very good support group. This group has helped quite a few through this process emotionally.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve found this site really helpful when I was coming to terms with my failed transfers too. In my experience, it’s a loss that isn’t really recognised and is difficult to express. Everyone one around me was very “chin up, better luck next time”. But for me, it felt like my world fell apart.

I took a completely different approach with my two transfers and they both failed. My doctor literally said, “it’s going to stick if it’s going to stick” which I’ve found helpful and infuriating at the same time. I’ve actually found the transfer the hardest part of the process as I didn’t know what to do and was questioning everything I did at all times.

We’re taking a break before we try another transfer. Neither me or my husband can take it emotionally right now. I don’t want to focus on the negative, but I do feel like I can only go for another if we could handle the negative result and there is no way we could at the minute.

Thank you! I totally understand the feeling your husband and you feel. It’s so hard. I think about taking a break but it’s not an options for me due to the issues I do have unfortunately. I am already down to one ovary and no Fallopian tubes :(. Unless I wanted to give up and look into adoption. I don’t think I am there yet. I just hate feeling so discouraged because it’s such a long process just to implant so to find out it didn’t work and to start over again is so hard to cope with!

I’m sorry you’ve been on such a heartwrenching journey. I just found out my first transfer didn’t work and when we initially found out, my husband was sad and I was ok. As soon as I got my period, I lost it emotionally. I know it often takes more than one time for it to work, but the sadness I have been feeling is really overwhelming. I know I’ll feel better, but it’s just a really hard space to be in.
I wish there was a simple answer for us as to what went wrong or what we can change to make it work the next time, but it just seems to be a lot of unknowns. I’ve found this forum extremely helpful. Other women who have been through it seem to have exactly the right words or encouragement to share. It always makes me feel a big more normal. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Hello dear! I'm so sorry about your situation. We are all in the same boat. I know this is really hard but we should be strong and keep going. I can't help much, but my friend has pcos and regular periods. She was trying to conceive but was failing all the time. Then she checked her hormones and it turned out she has hormonal imbalance. Dr prescribed her some medications for that and now she's in treatment. That's all I know. Hun I hope you'll see positive test soon and will become a happy mother! Good luck!
