We have unexplained IF. I was doing some research online and thought maybe I should see about doing it..

My husband had a genetic panel done (I decided better him than me-- first, because I go through most of the procedures but mainly because he is Jewish and was "at risk" for more inherited illnesses than I was).

I am not sure what you are interested in knowing-- ours turned up nothing. And was pricey. Before insurance it was probably about $4000 and with, we still paid almost a thousand.

We had karotype genetic testing done after my 3rd loss. We're normal, but still have had 4 more losses. So though it's good to know we're "cleared" but it doesn't always give the answers we're looking for. Good luck and baby dust to you.

We did it, but my husband has no sperm in his semen samples. It was about $1600.00 out of pocket. His Chromosome testing came back normal.

Have either one of you been tested for other things first?

We did our genetic testing the first month we saw our RE. At that point we had about 1 year TTC and 1 miscarriage. The same month I did my HSG. Other than u/s and level checks no other diagnostics done on me.

Also, wanted to mention because I didn't realize it at the time-- the genetic tests took about 3 weeks to get results.
