I was wondering if anyone went to any RESOLVE monthly meetings and what goes on there.

I went to Resolve meetings for a couple of years and met some amazing women. Our meetings were casual, talking about the process, questions, feelings, frustration. Each week there was a pre-assigned topic - sometimes we stayed on topic and other times we digressed completely. But overall, I'm glad I went.

I went to a few and when the group I was going to closed I started a new support group myself. I really enjoy these meetings. You get to meet some new women and see some regular ones each month (or each 2 weeks) and exchange news. It lets me talk about IF to people who'd understand instead of my friends who are not TTC right now and cannot relate.

We don't have them in my area, but I would like to go.

what happens when someone gets pregnant or adopts? what does that do to the group dynamic? does it make the ones still TTC uncomfortable to watch the pregnant one's belly grow? do the ones with child go elsewhere for support?

I go to a peer led group and find it helpful. Nice to talk to people who understand what you are going through.

A peer lead group just started las month in my area. We meet for the 3rd time Monday. I really like it. I feel like a huge weight is lifted off my shoulders after talking to everyone.

My counselor suggested going to try one of the meetings out and I missed the one this week but, there is another one in 2 weeks and I am definately going to try it.I think I may drag my hubby to the first one. I'll let you know how it goes. I feel like at this point it can only help to talk with people in person who can directly relate to you. Having someone to relate with can make all the difference right now...don't ya think?!?

My church runs a couples infertility support group. It really helps both my dh and I - probably him more than me - there aren't really any online resources for guys. It's also nice to get other couples' ideas on how to get through all the relationship tests that go along with IF.
