Anyone deal with Hydrosalpinx before?

Just something my second opinion RE just found in a sonogram.
Has anyone ever dealt with hydrosalpinx without surgery. I really, really don't want to do surgery again with my history of adhesions. Please help!

I think you need to go with what a few RE's say. Also, I would make sure those RE's who you talk to are specialized in IF.

I was told by my RE (who is an infertility specialist) that my tubes were so badly damaged that I had a 15% chance of conception and it would most likely be a tubal pregnancy. So, my only option was IVF. When I went to my IVF doc he said that with my hydrosalpinx tubes still inside I would cut my chances of success with IVF in half (w/o tubes 60% with only 30%). I didnt want surgery again either but I viewed it as having the tubes removed as my best chance of getting pregnant again.

I think it is a big decision that should not be chosen lightly. I just wanted you to know the advice I was given.

I also read that the fluid from that can be toxic to an embryo.

I just got my hydro diagnosis, and I am looking into non-invasive treatments with a Clear Passage clinic. It seems (based on what info I have read so far) that surgery is not very effective for this condition. If a repair is actually made, it will likely become blocked again within a year. I am not ready to just cut my tubes out, and have IVF (at $12,000/cycle) be my only option before even attempting to heal this. Case studies are promising on using this targeted therapy to break up the fibroids. Worth a shot in my book.
