I'm looking for some kind of hope. Has anything positive come out of this for anyone? Ive had 3 total losses. 2 miscarriages and 1 ectopic but I suspect all my pregnancies have been ectopic. I lost my left tube during the last pregnancy. My doctor did not belive I was in pain and kept telling me "you can't feel an ectopic pregnancy at 4 weeks". 2 weeks later he confirmed placement and I got rushed into surgery. My husband and I are going through IVF and have done a fresh transfer but did not get pregnant. I'm extreamly angry. We're talking 0-10, looking g for a fight just rage full all the time. Does any one have coping mechanisms or words of hope?

Hi there... you definitely came to the right place to vent. The IF road is so incredibly difficult to manage- emotionally and physically. One of the hardest parts for me was to just go through everyday life and act like everything was ok. It was so hard to function as a normal adult person- I was anxious, moody, angry... and every other negative feeling you can think of. This blog definitely helped me cope. Just knowing that I was not alone in my feelings is craziness made me feel better. I had 5 IUIs before we moved on to IVF. I had 8 normal embryos that were 5 day blastocysts. We decided to transfer 2 at a time and obviously started with the highest graded ones first. Fresh transfer #1 ended in a chemical pregnancy; FET #2= nothing; FET #3= 2nd chemical pregnancy; FET #4 with my last 2 embryos= twins! My twin boys are 7 months now:) So there is a little bit of hope for you. When we got to those last 2 embryos, I was an utter mess and even asked the dr if we should just forget them and start over with another egg retrieval. Someone asked me the other day if now that my twins were here, if it made up for everything that I went through to get pregnant. My answer was that it just made it hurt less but that it didn't make the pain of the 3 years before them disappear. IF profoundly changed me and the way I view many things, but it did make me promise myself that I would never take these children for granted. Do you have another transfer scheduled yet? Sometimes a break is a good thing. Remember to be kind to yourself. What you are going through right now is not normal and there is no "right" way to deal with it. Let your feelings happen, and hopefully you can work up the strength to move forward. One thing I have told a couple of people on DS is that you have to lie to yourself- keep telling yourself that you will be ok even when you feel like it won't be. Somehow you have to make it be ok. Thank you! I'm trying to find peace so much. I don't like who I've turned into. I have a frozen transfer scheduled on the 28th of June. I'm exhaused from being so angry. Your story has given me hope and strength. My husband and I have been going through this journey for 2.5 years now and it's good to know it could be worth it in the end. I appreciate you taking time to respond. Thank you again!
