I'm wishing you the best hun!!
I think the prolonged experience has really scarred me and made me very nervous that either I can't get pregnant, or that if I do get pregnant again, it won't stick for some mechanical reason like the one you mentioned.
I've been trying to visualize our future baby to try and move past this. For example, wouldn't it be cool if we conceive soon and our baby is the same age as royalty?
Never mind that this has taken 9 months for me to come this far. Even though I'm doing IVF, I still was convinced it wasn't going to work this time.
Then I realized these emotions (for me) were just worrying me too much and I need to acknowledge the actual emotions (fear, terror, anxious, sad, lonely, nervous, scared), and then let them be. It's an exercise my shrink taught me. Maybe you'd like to try this too - verbalize the emotions you're feeling in moments like this, then try to focus on something else. If you can't, chances there are other emotions that haven't been expressed.
As for the 2 day period, I hate short periods too! They're weird and seem so wrong on so many levels. But, in truth I've had my share of short periods over the years. The ones I hate more are the 7 day periods with a heavy flow. Why can't my body be regular like when it's on the pill?
So do not worry about it too much, meds will help and if you are worried about it, ask your RE before starting IVF #2. Good luck to you hun! XOXO
