Almost ready to give up

I just recently had another failed IUI and I am about ready to give up trying. This process is taking a toll on me emotionally. It is so hard to see others who are getting pregnant. I try to not let it bother me, but it is hard. Friends avoid conversations about acquaintances pregnancies. When conversations about pregnancy do come up, they apologize for bringing it up or ask if they are being too insensitive. I have wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember, and I feel that it is never going to happen for me. I guess I need to start coming to grips with that fact.

Hi, dear. Don't be that sad. I'm so sorry you're going through this. We move in the same direction. For you it's slighter still I believe. IUI is less invasive procedure. In our case this is egg donation ivf. A rather contradicting one was it from the diagnosis level from the very beginning. I blamed myself heavily I couldn't give a son to my loving husband. We've been ttc for 2 years with no results. When I was diagnosed on diminished ovarian failure our doc told straight - we won't do this with OE.
Right at the moment we are in 5 att de ivf program, offered by Biotexcom clinic. And as every other couple are dreaming of it to be successful for us. You know time is not playing on our side, I'm 41 yo. my DH is 3 years older. Time never plays for us in such a situation but we should stay strong. We must go to the end, successful end of this journey.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I feel like I am in a constant internal struggle with how much is too much. I have already pushed myself so far: mentally, physically, financially- I never knew it was even possible for me to sink this low. But I am getting to the point where I feel more confident that I have tried and done as much as I possibly could to have a baby, and for whatever reason, it just will not work. And I am trying to figure out if I am ok with that. I know not having a child will always hurt my heart, but I don't want the regret that I did not try hard enough to hurt also. May we all find peace with our journey and decisions...

Thank you for your comments. I needed the encouragement as I sit here in tears as another friend has announced that she is pregnant. Just yesterday, she was telling me how she was trying to avoid getting pregnant. I try to be happy for others, but it is hard, especially when trying to be happy for those who want to avoid pregnancy. Prayers for success for all of us on this journey.

Oh dear! Dont try to be happy for others Its impossible, just hurt you more. Believe me all of us here feel the same things(( You are not alone and you are not special with your feelings. Just be strong, unfortunately God chose us for hard way to happiness. If you failed in your clinic, may be it is better not to waste your time and try another clinic. I was also tried my luck in different clinics abroad, and failed many times. But finally I won my baby and it was not easy.
And Heretochat, Biotexcom is very good clinic) Everything will be ok. You ll have beautiful healthy child! Good luck to you with it!
