I am despartely trying to lose weight!! Just wondering if anyone has tried the new weight loss pill called alli???? AND if so, does anyone know the side effects while ttc??? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks

My opinion---DON'T take it. When TTC, I wouldn't take the chance. I know it's very difficult, but eating right and exercising daily is the only way to go. Good luck to you!

I agree with minik-I did not take any diet pills while TTC- I did notice that the clomid made me gain some weight- I did not think it was the clomid until I stopped taking it and I lost 5 lbs fast-
In my past experience, Weight watchers worked for me- you know what they say... eat less and move your body more! good luck!!!- you may want to ask your doctor-

I know its hard to look in the missor and realize all these meds have your body going poof but studies have shown that diet pills even the "natural ones" interfere at some point with treatment. I have gained 20 pounds already and am stressing majorly but I know that my focus has to be my treatment first then when I'm done we can lose weight together....deal?? Stress can also make you gain weight.

You shouldnt take anything while TTC . Also with Alli if you dont change the way you eat you actually use the bathroom on yourself . Too much info im sorry but the medicine blocks your body from absorbing the fat in food so it just comes straight out and you dont know it till it happens. If you eat i think its more than 16 grams of fat you will crap on yourself. For an example just a burger at mcdonalds is like 32 grams of fat. So really the medicine is not whats working its forcing you to change the way you eat and that is what is working .

i wouldnt take any diet pills at all while your ttc but i will say that my momma is taking alli and its working BUT the side effects if you arent careful are horrid. it can actually cause explosive diarrhea if you eat too much fat. It can also cause you to release an oily substance when you pass gas as well. I really dont think that its worth all of that just to loose weight! but like i said earlier i would NOT take the chance on anything while your trying to have a baby
