Well, today is my birthday and guess who decided to come to the party uninvited? You guessed it AF! I was so positive that this round of clomid had worked too. We did EVERYTHING the dr said. So I have a question, does anyone know of any other meds, including injectibles, that can be used besides or with clomid. My dr told me last time that 2 more rounds of clomid and then onto iui. Well this would be my last round of clomid but I just found out yesterday that my insurance does not cover ANY kind of fertility treatment. So I would really appreciate any suggestions. THANKS!!

I am so sorry sweetie, it's very frustrating. I am starting straight off with injectables, only because my RE doesn't believe that Clomid is a drug that's useful. These are the only two drugs I have been exposed to since we have male factor infertility but my arms are around you giving you a great big hug. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Dido...Happy b-day! Sorry about your uninvited visitor. My insurance doesn't cover treatment either. I did Clomid one month, and did Bravelle this month. I was really nervous about giving myself injections, but they can give you thin needles and it's not so bad (though it still took me a few seconds every time to actually go through with it). Anyway, I was on a double dose of the Bravelle and didn't really have many side affects. More tired, a bit nauseous, but no visual disturbances or bloating as with the Clomid. Best of luck!

I'm so sorry. This happened to me in Oct, and it was early to boot. It totally sucked since we had done clomid with our 1st IUI. But somehow I was able to push it aside and I had a ball that night at my b-day dinner. I drank extra too :0)

Happy Birthday!!! I am so sorry! I am in the same boat as you on my 4th round of clomid but I have read of other ladies on here taking other drugs with clomid, that the doctor gave them. Good luck

Happy Birthday, sorry about AF. I did clomid it worked once but then it didnt I moved onto IUI with injectiables which also worked on the first try, i've heard IUI is less expensive then IVF but am fortunate that my ins pays for it all, good luck.

I am so sorry about your AF. I hope you have a good birthday in spite of this. I do not know much about meds for IUIs as I only did the injectibles. Good luck to you though!
