Just a brief history:
Husband and I have been TTC for 3 years +, and we both are half broken :/. My husband's sperm count was very low and they put him on Clomid. Poor thing, he has gained weight, has mood swings, ect. But, his levels were near normal!
They wanted me to do a hcg test. It was so uncomfortable because the catheter wouldnt stay in my cervix :( They found that my left tube was blocked near where the egg would enter. The doc said I would need to do a laperscopic surgery to see if they can unblock it and to make sure the other tube was okay. I have never had surgery before, so I am terrified!!
Has anyone here every gone through this surgery?
So, I am waiting and nervous. After the hsg dye test, my cycles are screwed up! No normalcy or pattern. I bled every 16 days. How can I even friggin tell if I am ovulating from one side or not?!
Thats the basic breakdown of what is going on with me, it is hard to deal with it all. But, at least now we know what the hell is going on so we can fix it (hopefully).

Sounds like you and I have some issues in common. After an ectopic pregnancy in 2010, I did a HCG test which was extremely painful for me, they found my right tube is blocked. I asked about the laparoscopic surgery to unblock my tube but my doctor said the blockage was at the end of my tube and she did not recommend it. I have also been diagnosed with PCOS which causes me to have irregular periods and of course that makes it difficult to figure out when Im ovulating.
It's been a long journey for my hubby and I but we are staying positive. Wishing you the best on yours =)
I'm 41 yo, a woman with diminished ovarian reserve but with intact ovarian function. In other words my eggs aren't good enough for fertilization. Our trouble differs from yours as we have to use donor eggs for ivf (we're week 4 of treatment in biotexcom). For you it's still possible to conceive after lapo.
My sister was in the case some time ago. Unfortunately their surgery was unsuccessful because of occurred left ovary scarring. She had a severe case of endo. May be that was everything which could done, or it might be a doc's mistake. Who knows? But at the end they had to apply for DE as well. I'm not the expert on the point, but I do think lapo can help if done properly by a knowing specialist.
