After 4 years of trying and unsuccessful IUI's we will be starting IVF in April and am just wondering how many people use the Protection plan, or the attain program verses paying per cycle? We just don't know what the right decision would be.

This is the exact same question we are dealing with right now. We will be starting the IVF process as soon as my period starts this month. We have been ttc for 4 years and have been unsuccessful with IUI as well.

I just cannot decide whether to do shared risk or pay per cycle. Two fresh cycles is less than the shared risk but if it doesn't work we'd get nothing back. DH keeps saying we could use the extra money for the baby's needs if it works the first time. But, I keep thinking about what happens if it doesn't work. He tells me I need to think more positively.

I know this doesn't help you with your decision but just wanted to let you know we're struggling with the same thing!

MomHopes, thank you for your words. I hate that some one is also in the same boat but it also is nice to have someone to talk about it. My DH, Steven, basically says that we will never regret any money we spend on it so we should just go all the way and try and insure it will work.

Either way it is all overwhelming. I do feel if I use the shared risk program it will take a lot of the pressure off of me and hopefully it will help it work.

I pray 2010 brings both our miracles!

Hi,
We are doing share Risk right now I totally recommend it, It took a lot a pressure from our shoulders and when we failed our first try it was good to know the we were covered.
