I've never miscarried, so I can't begin to know THAT pain, but I've never even been pregnant (despite being in a long term relationship in my 20's and early 30's where 6 of the 9 years were spent not using protection). I'm beginning to doubt whether I CAN or ever WILL get pregnant - and that's a special kind of hell unto itself as well.
My BFF (literally - we've been friends since 3rd grade), who is only 4 months younger than I am is due in May with her 3rd child. Her first was in her early 20's from a relationship that didn't last. I introduced her to her current husband, who was a friend of mine. They've been married for about 5 years and their little girl is going on 4. They married in August and she had their daughter the next August. They got PG like as *soon* as they started trying. And now she's expecting another. I'm SO very happy for them - they're both old and dear friends of mine and I'm glad they found happiness together, but part of me is insanely jealous.
They live in a different part of the state, so I don't see them often, but we keep in touch through Facebook and reading her status updates about "pregnancy brain" forgetfulness and how "fat" she is and doctor appointments and when they found out the sex of the baby, etc.... I WANT THAT!!!
I've always considered myself a fairly strong person emotionally, but this is by FAR the hardest emotional rollercoaster I've EVER had to ride in my life.
I also took Clomid in December, and right after I miscarried in early Jan I found out that a woman at the electric company is pregnant. So now when I go in to pay the electric bill every month I'll have to see her. Since I already disliked her it was easy to tell her how "great" I thought her pregnancy was.... no surprise my electric bill somehow doubled last month, as I did not use any nice words at all. I'm willing to bet that I could have made a sailor say, "language, please" that day.
Aside from those two, it seems that everyone else can just get pregnant, or has some very useful advice on how to get pregnant. It really does make me very angry and resentful. Someday it will be our turn to celebrate, and we'll all either dance around showing off our huge baby bumps, without complaining about how fat we are or stretch marks.
