I just got my statement from my Tax agent and I had to laugh, I actually got more money back than usual which would make most really happy, but instead I just got so sad because the first thought that goes through my head was.... Great now I have almost all the money to try for another fresh cycle!.
Once upon a time I would of thought... of good now I can treat my self to a shopping spree, pay off some of the mortgage, take a trip...
Its like my life is all about TTC, its not enough all the pocking and prodding, the tablets, pessaries, timed everything and the heart braking BFN's and miscarriage at the end of it all. Now it is invading everything including the little money I save every week.
I just wish I could see an end in sight, I wish I could say, hey you never know I had unprotected sex, so maybe I will get a surprise at the end of the month....
To make it worse, I had that return to normality at the beginning of the year before I lost my precious baby. I remember what it was like to feel that you had finally had gotten off this mad rollercoster and that you could begin to plan a normal life. to have sex when you wanted, rather than when a stick or doctor told you so. To not worry about pills and the result of blood tests, to feel the certainty that soon you would hold your little one rather than to just dream about the one day that maybe....
Its been a long 3.5 years, too long perhaps, and I guess I'm feeling tired and defeated by it all.

It hurts, it is hard and it is sad. One way to look at it is that at least we have that money to pay for what we need to pay for. But of course the other part of us wants to be doing what the rest of our friends and family are doing and just be "normal," not that I know what that really is any more. Someone said in a post once "It is so hard missing what used to be our 'normal'... but what is normal, anyway? It's an illusion that leads us out of the present. Every moment is normal... every moment is a new normal...."
But I completely understand what you are saying and know that tired and defeated feeling. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
Keep your head up and keep hope and faith that you will have your baby.
Of course, it all sounds trivial, but it's just another example of how much we all sacrifice in our quest to become mothers, and how hard it gets when we still have nothing to show for it.
