Hello! My husband and I have been trying for almost a year (I know it's nothing compared to how long some people have been trying on here). We've had some setbacks......irregular periods, 20+ day periods, d&c due to abnormally thick intrauterine lining, blah blah blah. So, I've been having a hard time finding support because from what I know, none of my friends had trouble getting pregnant with their first (some have with their 2nd). I'm tired of hearing "Just relax." "God has a plan." "You're time will come." On and on and on. We just had another girl at work find out she is pregnant (there is another one already pregnant with her 7th).....and I'm very excited for her, but on the other hand it's another reminder of the struggle we are going through. There aren't any support groups around my area, so I've found this place which I'm very thankful for!!!! Everyone seems so positive, which is what I need. So, just wanted to say thank you to everyone for being on here and making me feel like there are people that get it and are going through similar situations!!! HUGS!
So. Back to you. Have you seen a RE yet? I assume so since you've had a D&C. It totally takes the romance out of babymaking...it's supposed to be something special and loving and instead it's sterile and regimented. It sucks. Hopefully for you, for all of us, it'll be worth it in the long run though.
I haven't seen an RE yet. My gynecologist (who is a specialist in this sort of issue) wants me to see her in September, which would be officially 1 year. She was the one that did the D&C a month ago. Aunt flo still hasn't shown up but the doc gave us the go ahead. She said we shouldn't prevent waiting for aunt flo. When I had my internal ultrasound done, they did know that I was ovulating on the right side, so that's a plus. The viability of it, I'm not sure.....They did rule out polycystic ovaries or premature ovarian failure, which is great, but still no reason for my jacked up cycles and thick lining.
We are still trying to laugh about the babymaking process to hopefully make it feel less "monotonous." But, I'm sure we will get to the point where enough is enough. I've been doing the OPK's too but have had no luck :(

You are so smart for getting off FB, I deactivated my account back in February, I'm sure most people think I unfriended them b/c I didn't go through the notice of "Hey everyone, I'm deleting my FB, lets keep in touch blah blah blah". I was so over all the drama, fake friends, passive aggressive status updates and baby announcements!
