Yep. Had to do it with IUIs. And cysts went away that month. You could ask to just take the month off and see if they go away on their own and if not try BCP next cyle.

ya we did that last month and they went away but now they are back.. so they want me to try this.. did u take the bcp? im not sure what to expect cuz my cycles are regular and im worried this might throw things off

I think it's more common than we realize, to use BCP's to regulate a womans cycle, try and fix issues, get back on track for TTC. Even though you have a regular cycle, they should help adjust your hormones to eliminate the cysts you have and not create more.

BCP's have never altered my cycle, I have a very normal cycle whether I'm on them or not. My sis only has a cycle when she's on them (whole other story), but I do know that they affect my mood ALOT. So just be aware of that. Not everyone is affected by them, but know that any new mood swings could be attributed to them, but you only plan to be on them a month and then you'll be back to normal.

I didn't do an IUI but with every cycle of IVF I was put on a BCP. It is very common with IVF to be put on BCP's. They had to put me on them in order to "quite" things down and get me suppressed. It put me on there time schedule. But the reason I am writing is more because it never threw off my natural cycle. I am also extremely regular each month and it has not been affected. I know it seems weird to go on BCP's when you trying to get pregnant, but it will help settle things.

I've done BCPs before all my IVF cycles precisely to avoid cysts.
