Hello! I joined this group because I'm looking for a place I can vent my frustrations with infertility and find support from people who understand.

My husband and I have been married for 6 years, and have been TTC since September 2009. For a long time, we tried charting temperatures, cervical mucous, timing intercourse with OPKs, and nothing worked. Not even a late cycle! When we finally went in for testing, we found that extremely low motility is our issue. We attempted several rounds of IUI, because the doctor thought they could make it work, to no effect (other than to depress us further). Now, we're facing IVF.

This has been such a painful, sad, and lonely journey for me. I've seen others post on here how conflicted they feel - wanting to be happy for the people around you who are getting to have families and wanting to be supportive, and yet feeling so angry and betrayed and hurt and upset. This is where I am right now. Some days, I just want to lock myself in a room where I can't see anybody and their happy faces and happy children, and just shut the door and cry. I want to know why this is happening to me, because we would be great parents and have been trying to hard. It's an hour-by-hour rollercoaster of emotions and trying to get by. I hope somebody has some advice they can give of how to get through. Some days are so hard....

As you replied to my post, you know I am right here with you! I truly feel for you. And let me tell you, I DID lock myself in my room and cry for a good 2 days. And although it still hurts like hell we need to pick ourselves up and keep going. Crying is good. Let all the emotions out and move on because honestly that's all we can do - keep going.

I am sorry for your struggles, and good luck with your IVF. Remember we will be better mothers because of our struggles. Our future children are already loved and wanted so much it will all be worth it in the end :)

Wow, sounds like you were writing our story too! We are in the same boat. Next move is IVF but right now we are on a much needed break which has been amazing for my mental state! Instead of worrying out shots and RE apts I am enjoying my summer and will be more than ready to tackle IVF in the fall.

My advice... cry if you need to cry, yell and scream if that helps. Holding it in just makes it worse. I go through so many crazy emotions (even on this break) but I always feel better after letting myself feel however I need to feel at that moment. I was also very sad and lonely until I found all of the lovely ladies on this site. Do not know how I survived before. I typically do not write a lot of posts, but I read everyones posts and reply back to a lot of them. I have found it very therapeutic. I hope you do too!

Thanks, LMWT! If you need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm not happy that other people are also unhappy, but it does feel so good to have people who "get" it.

I too am going through the pain and anger point, actually it has come back around, I was at peace for a while and now back to angry and hopeless...

All I can say is it F-ing SUCKS but you always have a place to vent and hugs to receive from me!!! Good luck, best wishes and know that you are not alone. Regarding wanting to shut the door and cry... DO IT! Cry, Cry and Scream... it is worse to NOT vent out the feelings. One day I was so bad off I showed up at my Sis-In-Laws house with 2 bottles of champagne and tears! It was cathartic to just release it all!!

Welcome. You are in the right place. Women here "get it" unfortunately and you can feel free to say anything you want (nothing is TMI) lol. I have done four rounds of IVF. If is a scary process that drags you through a ton of emotions. It DOES work I've witnessed many BFP on here I'm still waiting for mine (just had a loss after 8 weeks ). I wouldn't have made it through any of it without these amazing women. With that being said its still difficult to hear of women on here getting their BFP while I get left behind. But no one on here wants to hurt your feelings and some of them may even want it for you just as much as you do for yourself! Feel free to vent , cry, complain, ......whatever you need. We're here for you !
