Need some advice...

Hello Ladies~

OK i am going to just jump in here and tell you about myself. i am 24 DH is 26 we have been TTCing for almost 3 years. DH had varicocele (sry dont know the spelling on that) But he had sugery and has been on vitamins and now has great numbers. I have had 8 IUIs the first one got BFP and miscarried @ 6w then the second BFN..the 3rd BFP and mis miscarried at 8w and failed 3 more times until i was ready to go to an RE. I have been there since April of this year. Found out i have a low AMH and MTHFR. Other than that i ovulate on my own but my RE still wanted me to to take either clomid (thats what i got a BFP on the last IUIs) or Letrozole. Also i am on a trigger. So this is my 2nd IUI with them i am on CD12 and feeling like it failed also... So they told me if i am not pregnant with this cycle or the next i should have a Lap... I keep going back an forth with should i just have the lap then go on to IVF or is it too soon? what would you do? thanks ladies!

Personally, I would go with the lap (and hysteroscopy, especially with multiple miscarriages) before spending the money on any more treatment, especially IVF. Even if they find nothing, you will have ruled out some possible causes of your mcs or any other issues you may have. We did IVF, was a success but miscarried at 9 weeks. Then I had a lap/hysteroscopy and found I had stage III Endo, fibroids and a uterine septum (most likely cause of my mc). I was pissed I had not pushed my old RE harder on having a lap done before IVF. Its scary to think about having a surgery when you do not know if it will find anything or not. But I think its worth it before spending more money on treatment.

Hey MrsFrog31. Thanks for sharing your journey with us, I am so sorry for all of your loss and struggles though. I definitely agree with LMWT, before facing another possible failed cycle, its probably good to see if you can't get more answers by doing a Lap. You've already been through so much! I wish you all the luck in the world girl!

I completely agree with LMWT. If you can push for a lap before going to IVF. They may be able to see something that can help you make a more informed decision with your next fertility treatment. I am so sorry that you have taken hit after hit mrsfrog31. I know just how heartcrushing that is. Lots of luck on your journey friend. Keep us posted. *HUG!

Thanks ladies! LMWT ~ wow seems like you have had a rough road yourself! I am sorry to hear about your mc! Its just so hard...My first angel would be 1 tomorrow. But quick ? did u ever have any signs of endo? My RE office has 2 doctors and one thinks i have it and the other one dosent...so that is uhg just more that i have to deal with LOL! But my inlaws are wanting me to try one more IUI then if that doesnt work its to the operating table! an your probably thinking why do my inlaws care about what i do...well they have been down this same road and only have one child which is my hubby and they are paying for everything until we get pregnant! tntpetal~ thank you for the support it is hard to keep getting back up but it seems like all of us find it in us to get back up and try try again! Never thought having a baby would be so hard! Good luck to you!
