Ok ladies, I know this is the age old question...but, when was the soonest you were able to get a BFP on a HPT after IVF? This is my first cycle and this wait is absolutely killing me. They have me on modified bedrest because of mild to moderate OHSS and I'm losing my mind!!! My cycle: Trigger on 12/11, ER on 12/13 (21 eggs, 16 mature, 15 fertilized) and 5dt on 12/18. Two morulas (or early blasts?) were transferred which concerned me to begin with (because they should have technically been blasts already)...and then 4 of the 8 which were left were blasts the next morning. Anyhow, I know it is only 4dp5dt at this point, but I really am dying to test knowing that this month there is actually a chance! Also, I keep having to remind myself that this is not 100% which then makes me feel like its 0%...ugh! We had to go through IVF because of severe MF - I am perfectly healthy and 27 - the RE gave us roughly 70% success chance at the start of the cycle - I'm so nervous!
I did an HPT after I have recieved 3 high beta's because I just wanted to see what a positive HPT looked like, but even then the line was super faint. I probably would have thought the worst if I had HPT'd before my beta. If you can wait until your blood work, I would suggest it. If it will make you feel better, go ahead and do it sometime next week, but don't go crazy if it's negative. I know lots of women on here that got negative HPT but were actually pregnant.
