Just a few words as we are wrapping up our first cycle of ivf. Take it one day at a time, it is a lot of medication and monitoring. We organized all our meds in one area where we were able to prep all injections together. Good luck to you both.
Tomorrow is our day to find out if I’m pregnant or not.
I just had my first frozen transfer last week and in the 2ww now after doing our first IVF cycle in November. I couldn't do a fresh b/c of hight risk of OHSS. It is crazy to think that we're in this situation!
I'm sure you hear this a lot, but you guys are both young, so that is def a good thing. Hopefully you like the clinic and staff and Dr, and you can ask all the questions you need.
I would watch some youtube video blogs that women did about what to expect and what kinds of things to have on hand once you get into the thick of it. Certainly comfy clothes, and coconut or Gatorade drinks for electrolytes. Take it easy during your stims, you'll feel bloated and your walking speed with slow down. Everyone is different of course, but those were the general things that i found were a common ground. Also, expect to probably be somewhat emotional or just not feel all peppy all the time.
If i think of anything else i'll let you know. Sending you lots of good thoughts!
