Infertility, Secondary Support Group
"Secondary infertility" is difficulty conceiving after already having conceived and carried a normal pregnancy. Apart from various medical conditions (e.g. hormonal), this may come as a result of age and stress felt to provide a sibling for their first child.

Hello all, it's been awhile since I've posted. But I'm back and have a curiosity question. I have been taking Herbalife shakes now for almost 21 days. I have lost some weight and inches and I feel great - more energy etc.
In the past, while trying to get pregnant, I did avoid soy based products. Now I know Herbalife is mostly all soy protein. What are your thoughts on it? I see two sides - if there's any chance it could hurt changes of achieving and or maintaining pregnancy, don't do it. I led that life for years prior to our first successful pregnancy. But now that we are going through this again (I guess we never stopped) I'm more about living in the moment and taking care of me and not so focused on every little thing that may or may not affect my infertility. Just thought I'd see if anyone else out there has used Herbalife while also going through infertility treatments.

I did the shakes and with oral drugs had 6 follies with most of my IUI's. My RE said it wasn't a problem. I had no idea soy was an issue with IF and have since thrown out my soy milk and other substitutes for now.

I know soy is debated because it comes in so many forms. As I understand it, soy in certain forms contains more plant estrogen. If its just an additive it has less estrogen.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
