my husband and i are each one of 7 i am the oldest he is the youngest. I always wanted about 10 if it were upto him we would have at least that many. My other child is 14 he has been the only child all these years and it makes me think with the age gap after all this time many years of trying i dont want to raise another "only child" so my thoughts are hopefully at least 2 more. DH seams to think once we have one i can just "pop them out"every nine months. I told him he better figure out how to have them himself.....lol My thoughts are the more the merrier

my husband and i both came from a two child family. His theory is---in general---people want the number they grew up in. i'm actually scared of twins, and more than that...dont get me started....but should i even say that given the meds i'm on????lol

I always wanted 4, 2 boys, 2 girls. That way they each had a brother and a sister. I am the 10th out of 11 kids, all natural, same parents, no twins, and yes my mom was Catholic!! (sorry, those are the normal questions!!) I DO NOT want that many!! It is mass chaos!! I would be happy with 2 more since my daughter is already 7, I want my kids to be close in age but DH thinks if we have twins we can be done, I have other ideas!!! LOL!!!

I have alot of siblings the mine, yours, ours. My DH is 3 of 4. We would love to have 4 kids. We'll see.... We are working on #3!!!!

I wanted 4, but my husband and I agreed on 3. After we have this one, we're not going to use any type of contraceptive and hopefully God will bless us with another one :o)

Hello everyone,I always wanted to have at least 3 children,but it didn't work out that way,so I'm hoping for 2,I'm the youngest of 7 and dh is the oldest of 3.

I don't have any children yet, but I've always wanted 4. Like altmommy, I'm settled on 4 but my DH is settled on 3. My dad is one of 7 boys and my mom is one of 6 (4 boy, 2 girls) kids, my parents suprisingly only had 3 kids though, me and my two younger brothers. My DH's is one of 4 but his mom is one of 10, ha. So many children, and as you can imagine we both have handfuls upon handfuls of cousins. 4 sounds like a great number to me we'll see if I can convinence my DH of this. ;)

I would be happy with 2 if there is a girl next to go with my son. I just want one of each.

I will be happy with what ever the good lord give me!!:) We will see what happens!

I never planned on how many children I would have, although my husband always said he wants 5 !! :) I would be happy at this point just to be able to have one more.

My husband says we are done with fertility treatments forever. He says we won't be able to afford them after we have this baby. I am a stay at home mom & he is a high school teacher in a very very low paying district in a very very low paying state. I just can't help but think ahead to how I would want to do this again, especially because it worked so quickly this time! I'm kind of hoping I have a girl because I think he might consider doing it again so we might get a son. But then again, my daughter wants a brother, & I want that for her. I guess it is nice to think that I don't have to do this infertility crap anymore. Maybe God will send us more anyway. Sorry I'm rambling. I just think about this a lot.

We want 2 children, I am like nancy...scared of the possibility of twins, but then I am 100% sure we would be done. We actually declined Clomid for awhile because we didn't want to push the envelope of God's plan for twins if we didn't have to. I am a labor/delivery nurse, and I KNOW what can happen with triplets, and higher. So, now, we are taking Clomid, considering IVF, and would be SOOOOOO happy to be blessed with twins, but I am still nervous about more than twins.

we have 3 altogether. I had one as a single mom. he had one as a single dad. we both have custody of the two girls. then we had one girl together...
one is 13, one is nine, one is four.

We wanted and want one more at least. ANd please dont ask if we want a boy. Because no, we arent tryign for a boy and are TIRED of getting asked that. we dont care and are stunned and sad that we have issues. if we had twins due to clomid we would be thrilled. we would be thrilled with any number. if i could fill a bus load (my sister says) then i would.

I know how you feel about those "life plans" getting ripped from your hands and shredded! We wanted 4, and I almost feel greedy saying I want "just one more." We had one quite young, naturally, then went through secondary IF and finally had another beautiful daughter through IVF. When she was 7 mos. old I found out I was pg again spontaneously! What joy...the pregnancy, however, was a nightmare, and I delivered prematurely. I am so thankful that today our son is 21 mos. and catching up amazingly well. I suppose part of my desire for that one more baby is the feeling of not wanting to end my child-birth experiences on such a difficult and painful note, as well as those preconceived notions I always had about having four healthy children. I even used to wish as a little girl for 3 girls and a boy--now I just want one more healthy pregnancy that culminates in a HEALTHY and FULL-TERM birth! I have very low progesterone, and have tried Clomid recently. We are preparing for a FET next cycle, using our Embryos from our IVF cycle. If it doesn't happen, I know I am multiply blessed, and this is the way it is meant to be. I just feel almost defensive sometimes b/c people act as though I should be "happy" or "aren't you satisfied" with the beautiful children I have; I am! But I'm one of those people who feels if you want something, why is it bad to go for it with all you've got? How many children a person has (or if they choose to have any at all) should be a CHOICE they make, not dictated to them by certain limitations within their bodies, which modern medicine might be capable of overcoming.
