Military and incontinence

Anyone here for in the military and incontinent? I only ask because I am. At least for now. Probably for the next year to two. It sucks. The military does not care once you are broke. It doesn't matter that they broke you. At least they finally let me go on con leave. But my condition worsened over the years. I went from having an accident a couple of times a week to having to wear a diaper 24/7. And there is nothing they can do about neurogenic bladder.

I had incontinence issues growing up (bed wetter until I was 15) but it went away and I joined the AF at 18. When I was 20, the bed wetting returned and within a year, I was wearing briefs (or diapers, depending one what term you use) 24/7. I never told the military about it, and just kept my issue a secret. I'm 56 and have been incontinent since. I know you can't join the military if you're a bed wetter, but I was disappointed to know they don't support you once it happens.

The Head of a London UK boarding school, asked if he accepted students who wet the bed, said "of course I do - some of my very best top students are bedwetters!!"

Drafted into the army I got extra bedsheets - and first night was ordered to sleep on my camping groundsheet. Next day I was ordered to report with a mate to the Medical Centre - and bring back the rubber mattress their store had waiting for me. Saved paying for a ruined mattress!!

Do you remember "Mattress Inspection"? "Barrack Damages" was the charge I always feared - both the shame and the cost on "pay day!" when my name was called out - along with the reason: "stained mattress" ! Was it best to be top or bottom bunk?= rain on someone else or get rained on? Many of the other lads were anxious not to revert to earlier bedwetting! - we were only teens after all! Good mates were ready to help. Even more complex in the field /on the march/in camp/tents.....
