I guess because...my dad took the immense, boundless love I had for him...and wiped his butt with it, basically. If I was proud of myself in front of him he'd make fun of me, and then say "oh, you'll never amount to much."
My mom whom I loved tremendously would make me feel worthless because I could not make a bed with "hospital corners" at age 6.
People tell me I'm worthwhile, even special...but the two people whom I loved the most...they treated me as a valve for their frustrations. I loved them both so much! I would have done anything for a smile, a kind word, a cuddle...
In fact I did. In the two years my dad was having sex with me he suddenly started paying more attention to me. When my grandmother's moving-in prevented him from having sex with me, I went back to being a nuisance, and I was longing for attention from my dad for years...until one day he got angry at me for making him late to work, and slapped me and berated me all the way to school, a good 20 minute drive.
That's what it took to make me stop loving him. I did. My weight ballooned that year too, within 2 years I weighed 320 pounds.
Alright, I had a good cry for the day now...

Even dead, they still rule.This is why de-programming is so important.

You can become a caring father and mother to yourself and pacify the parts inside who think they are worthless.They are all beautiful, even the ones who stay in the dark and do not yet dare emerge.
