I watched a documentary last night called Hungry for change.It is a documentary with a host of nutritionist and doctors talking about how bad processed foods are and how to change your diet to live healthy in this day and age.What stood out to me was one particular medical doctors prescription she writes to all of her patients.She writes a prescription for standing in front of a mirror and telling yourself that you accept yourself unconditionally at least twice a day.She goes on to say acceptance and love of ones self improves your eye sight,hearing,how your heart and immune system functions.She said of course in the beginning you will hear the negative self talk but with time by saying this you start to connect to this other self and in doing so you usher in massive changes in the way you think and the way your body functions.I couldn't agreed with this doctor more.

I've learned the hard way to really love myself and use reminders as that, reminders, not as ritual (which is an ocd thing). I also learn to really, really accept myself, including accepting those times when I'm not in my finest behavior.
I feel I should post this since I know there are some of use that deal with other issues aside from what we post here.
This has helped me a lot in my healing. It really happened for me. I started to love myself. Its the best feeling. I thought how the hell have I been putting myself down, picking on myself, how dare I.
I can see that I am actually different to the person I used to think I was. I gave up on me, because of past conditioning, before I gave myself the chance to really see who I am.
And I really love me.
