Incest Survivors Support Group
Incest refers to any sexual activity between closely related persons that is illegal or socially taboo. Consensual adult incest is very rare. Incest between adults and prepubescent or adolescent children is a form of child sexual abuse that has been shown to be one of the most extreme forms of childhood trauma. If you or a loved one is a survivor of incest, join the group...
I hope you find the strength to trust yourself throughout the whole process - because your thoughts and your feelings and your reactions are the only things that matter in therapy. Be kind to yourself!!
Know that you ARE and ALWAYS HAVE BEEN lovable!!! YOU were never the one with the problem! THEY were the ones with the problems cause they could not see, appreciate, value and love you like you had every right to be loved!!
And it is not your COLOR that matters! I can't see your color through my computer screen, but your BEAUTY is obvious, shining and not able to be denied!
This is a powerful post. I rage and cry with the injustice of it all, and I scream in joy for the giant step forward that you have taken, and the rare and precious courage and determination it took to step forward, bare your soul, and take action in spite of the fear. You are one incredibly amazing woman
(Don't forget to nurture and reward your own accomplishments here! This is a HUGE deal!!)
Your Sherry will help you so much to see the real you not what others try to make you see.I think you are beautiful and didn't notice a color.Hugs.
"th&*%#*+t" (I could never say that word or write it). Trust yourself. I have been in therapy for 3 years and I just found a wonderful person who has 12 1/2 years in working with Trauma Survivors and w/out her I would of of just given up but I didn't.
This is a start of your journey and at times it will get bumpy and at times very painful but with the right supports in your life and a positive attitude I feel like you will get there. Don't give up, you deserve alot. Don't give your abusers the power, keeping doing the therapy and tell yourself often, you are worth it and you will get through it. You deserve it. For me and my journey I went out and brought myself a little teddy bear and it now stays with my the#%*^$t and it is now my best friend in therapy. Also I don't know if you like to write but Journaling and art helps alot. For me what I can't tell my th%$^*&#t my journal and art does. Stay true to yourself. Don't give up!! manyRwe
I feel so great to air out my issues and resolutions. Im glad I have touched many and that I have your support. You are all true DS friends!!
Thanks for the love, much appreciated!! :)
