Incest Survivors Support Group
Incest refers to any sexual activity between closely related persons that is illegal or socially taboo. Consensual adult incest is very rare. Incest between adults and prepubescent or adolescent children is a form of child sexual abuse that has been shown to be one of the most extreme forms of childhood trauma. If you or a loved one is a survivor of incest, join the group...

I can sleep during the day, i can sleep on a couch but during those hours and in a bed is like torment.
Anyway, back to the night time depression. I have no specific memories of any abuse that happened at night. I do have evidence and I think something happened to me in bed when I was much to young to process it.
I will present the evidence. My first memories were of being in the hospital with perthes disease when I was 4 years old. I was in a Catholic hospital children's ward for 6 months, most of that time in traction. Perthes is a disease where the blood supply to the upper part of the femor I think is interrupted and the part of the bone that goes into the hip socket dies. It is fairly rare to have it in one leg, I had it in both. The treatment now is much more mild. At that time it was traumatic. As bad as the hospital was I was more afraid of going home. I tried to hide so I wouldn't have to go home.
As a little boy I had nightmares of snakes being very close and touching me. I had what I consider an out of body experience. I have had 1 flashback of my father's face being very close and I went for his throat and I almost hurt my wife. I can't be touched when I'm asleep or I will start swinging at whatever is touching me. I used to wake up screaming between 2 and 3 AM. I still am almost always awake at that time. When I was younger I was absolutely terrified of going to sleep. Now as it gets closer to night time I get more depressed, more so if I'm in touch with my inner child.
I do have specific memories of my father physically, emotionally and sexually abusing me at other times as a young child. I hated him and never wanted to be anything like him.
Back to the perthes disease they know it is an caused by an interruption in the blood flow and even though it is rare the most common occurance is in boys between and 8. They still do not know what causes that interuption. The think maybe hereditary or trauma. There is no history of it in my family at all. There certainly was trauma at other times.
There is my evidence. I believe there was sexual abuse by my father in my bed at night when I was very young that was so overwhelming that my young mind as incapable of dealing with it in any way. I believe that is why I have the problems I now have at night.
I also need lights on at all times. The first thing I look for when I come home is to see if there are lights on. I used to have nightmares where I was panacked because I couldn't get any lights to go on.
That is the evidence there is my conclusions. Does anyone have any other explanation for my evidence?
Sounds like you have enough evidence to say that that is why you have trouble at night. I, too, have a lot of trouble sleeping and at night, which is when my father would come into my room and molest me.
I just wanted you to know that I think you have enough proof. We always doubt ourselves, but if we look deep, we know the truth.
Hang in there.
