I am new here. I am a survivor of incest by my maternal grandad. I am only just recovering my memories  so right now I am petrified and getting flashbacks. I told my partner but he doesn't understand  and is trying to force me to go to the police. I am not ready yet so had to tell him it didn't happen just to stop him telling the police. I feel physically sick thinking about when or if I ever decide to tell him the full story and I am ready to go to the police I am scared they will laugh in my face. I feel like it was my fault

Hello silentone, I'm sorry about what you've been through. It's a very hard time when repressed memories come back (I'm going through something similar right now, so, I can relate). Police... if you want my opinion, you can decide about that when you feel better and are less vulnerable. Not everyone would probably agree to this, but it's the way I see it: Your own recovery comes first.
I'm sorry you have to lie about it to your boyfriend. That's not helpful...
This is a safe place to share when and if and as much as you want to. Also, therapy is helping me a lot, so... any chance you could see a counselor? A counselor could maybe help with your boyfriend, too.
