I made the mistake of going to church today... They called up all the little kids to come up and sing to their mothers about love and being born to a great mother and wonderful parents dear... All everyone talked about was mothers... I'm a mother, but my son is dead. I have a terrible mother that let my dad beat me almost to death, she locks me away for hours and she hates what I do... I hate mothers day because it just reminds me of the terrible life I'm stuck in and the evil people I'm surrounded by. Today's the day I throw up and cry. I feel sick. :/ I just know I'm going to lose it today...

Supportive hugs))) I understand your pain having to raise myself because of abuse and torture and losing babies the same. It seems all the condemmend feel no shame at the sound of God's great name and yet I don't feel the same. :(

You are not a terrible mother and the blood IS NOT on your hands.. nor is my Destany's or Caiden's or the ritual abortion at age 14!!! How could we be anything under the weight of all that pain and torture? We couldn't, we had everything we could do to take one breath through cracked ribs. I share your pain and emotional response, your not alone honey. We are no less mothers for our losses, for we gave so much and took it all so they didn't have to.

I realized this while helping a friend through tremendous loss recently, they our children were borrowed angels. Tears))) and I have known since I was 16 and lost Destany, she is my guardian angel and so is your son to you.

There seems to be no escape from mothers day. Its a great idea for a holiday, but there are so many of us out there who don't have mothers to celebrate. I haven't left my house today simply because I don't want to face anybody and be reminded.

What is there to say? What I'd most like to say to anybody who asks is that I don't have a mother worth celebrating.

I ignore mother's day. If my kids want to give me something they made in school then I appreciate it as a gift, but the day has no meaning for me.
But maybe that's easier to do in Belgium where it is not so hyped up as I expect it is in the US.

I have decided to celebrate mother's day to myself and I am going to buy myself a little symbolic gift.
I have become for my inner wounded child the mother I was always unconsciously looking for in mother figures around me.

I'm right there with you on the Mothers Day issue. My mother was one of my abusers, so hearing everyone publicly praising and declaring their love for their mothers feels horrible.
