It's kinda tricky. I'm the same way as you are - besides the marriage. Me and my fiance, if i wasnt at work, wasn't having os many medical issues right now, and if he didnt have school, i would be having sex with him constantly throughout the day. And I also am very attracted to women. You deffinately have to take into consideration the fact of how close a friend that person is n such and let your husband know that lately you have been noticing women. if your friend is very close, i deffinately would tell her what is going on with you right now n that you dont have intentions other than friendship because you treasure her friendship too much. ---me and my best friend are both bisexual, yet nothing has ever happened even though she knows i am well attracted to her and she is also attracted to me. we dont want to mess up the close bond that we have so thats just how it is. it will be helpful for you to have a female friend to confide in. I also recommend telling your husband that you are noticing women as well. perhaps talking with him will help you make sense of things.

Hypersexuality, sometimes referred to as sexual addiction or as a type of obsessive-compulsive behavior, can occasionally be the result of incest or other sexual trauma. Your sudden interest in women may, or may not be associated with your hypersexuality. It may have been that you were bi-curious to begin with and are only now starting to notice it.

If your hypersexuality becomes too much of a problem, be aware that there are sites here on DS that deal with sexual addiction which may be of some help to you.

i was questioning this about one month ago. thinking something must really be wrong with me because my libido was through the roof & for the love a god it was disturbing my daily actives. as if i had to make a schedule around sex.

well i have done some research on it. it does state there is correlation between early childhood sexual abuse (less 10y.o) & hyper sexuality. this did provide some answers for me since my sexual abuse occurred very young. in addition, i double check with my general physician & did some blood work. if there is hormonal imbalance in a female produces excess amounts of testosterone (ovaries produce this)there is very large increase of sexual drive. so i say double check with general doctor? its kind of, okay i found it really embarrassing to tell doc but at least i got some answers.

I did have some tests with my OBGYN a couple of months again and everything was normal. I'm not really having an increase; my libido is pretty much contantly like this. And I'm not hairy and don't have a deep voice ;)

Hmmmm you have rule out a medical condition then its mental. Get thee to a therapist.

Hyper sexuality is associated with sexual abuse. Your Bisexual impulses were probably already there. While the abuse may how you got here, I think it's virtually impossible to change who you are. I wouldn't call it an addiction needing treatment unless you find it drives your behavior, keeps you from leading a somewhat normal life, or if you find yourself compulsively seeking out other partners or cheating on your husband, I.e. Self destructive behavior. If it's not, then just consider it a high sex drive, and tell your husband to count his lucky stars. I don't know how you feel about your bisexual urges, but I can tell you that the vast majority of the couples classified as swingers are actually couples with a bisexual wife seeking some safe way of dealing with those urges. I'm not promoting an alternative lifestyle, just trying to make you aware that you are far from alone, there are huge numbers of women very much like you. I do Suggest that you DO NOT act on those urges behind your husband's back. Violating the trust of an obviously good relationship can only lead to pain and heartbreak. Above all, accept yourself, and recognize that "normal" covers a very wide range.

On the Home Page of either site, right at the top of the page, you will see the question, "Am I A Sex Addict?" If you will click on that question, the test will come up for you. It can be taken right there online (it should only take two or three minutes), and then submitted for scoring. In just a few seconds, you will have your answer. And just for your information, a score of 11 or higher usually indicates that a sexual addiction is present.

Now if you use the website that belongs to the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health, you will also find a special version of the test that is for women only, and this might actually give you a bit more accurate picture of your situation.

being a guy, i cant say i have had the same experience as you dsf, however there are times, that i never have enough i have had alot of different experiences and feelings about alot which i am sure has to do with what happened.
