You can also write a journal. You can make your profile private so that only you and your friends can see it. You can also make your journals so that only you can see it, only your friends can see it, or everyone can see it. So you have a lot of control over your privacy.
Please beware of people who want to communicate with you privately, by Private Message. Even worse are people who ask to communicate off the site. That is a huge red flag for an abuser! Don't let yourself be vulnerable - this site is for healing, and there is no reason for secrecy unless and until you know and trust someone. I would hesitate to trust someone who never posted and talked about themself.
Finally, I don't know if that is your image on your avi but you might want to change it to protect your privacy. Sorry if I come off like an overprotective mom, but that is pretty much what I am.
