I was on facebook and i like a photo of my cousin so it popped up on my page. This picture disgusts me..he has a condom in his mouth and condoms around him.. now he is a college freshman now and i'm afraid that he might do what he has done to me to some poor freshman girl.. because he doesn't take kindly to no... Then it will be my fault :,( i decided to post the picture of the dog in my photos and ya'll tell me what you think it's no my page and i'm tired of hiding behind and avatar i'm ready to show my face

What he does isn't your fault.

If someone else charges him you might could witness for the prosecution. Just sayin'.

It won't be your fault if he does something to someone else, just like it won't be my fault if my cousin were to abuse someone else. Just know that your cousin is sick, and it will only be HIS fault for his actions. And I think that picture is messed up. But I am so proud of you for wanting to come out and show who you are. That takes a great deal of courage. Good for you. It was very hard for me to upload that first pic of me on here, but after I did, I just kept going. I am who I am and I shouldn't be ashamed of something I didn't do, nor should you. However, I still use the fake name, Aimee. lol. Not ready to be fully exposed!!

And for the record, I once saw a pic of my cousin on Facebook that really pissed me off because it was all sexual and stuff. And all his buddies are commenting on it, encouraging him.. it sucked to see it.

Thanks you two,, and i does suck to see it and see what people commented about it.. I feel like if he does it's my fault because i did nothing to stop him.. I let him continue to walk free because of my own selfish fears of losing my family instead of calling the police like i should have a million time.. He has ruined my life with what he has done.. I can't liive with knowing he could ruin someone eases

hopeless25, please don't think anything he chooses to do is your fault. You can control only yourself. You can't do anything that would control another person. He has to be responsible for his choices.

Is there anything you want to do about prosecuting him now? I say that because someone I know has decided to prosecute many years after the fact because she realizes that once he is released from prison and returns home, he could harm someone else (he went to prison on charges unrelated to sex crimes but it was a violent offense).

Again you are not responsible for him but I hope you will do something about your feelings right now - is there a safe choice you can make that will not hurt you but will help you feel you have made a difference in how he can treat others?

Just remember to be true to yourself and keep yourself safe - your first obligation is to heal yourself. You don't have to save anyone else.
